Reza Zadeh’s 10th World Championship gold medal

Men’s +105kg: Since Saturday, 7th October 2006, Iranian giant Hossein Reza Zadeh is 10-fold world champion. Double Olympic gold-medallist and holder of all world records in the superheavy category, Reza Zadeh swept the two lifts and the total also in santo Domingo.

His challengers could not force him to extreme heights, and let the Iranian win with his weakest ever total result.

The surprise man of the day was 20-year old Chinese Dong Feng, who took silver medal in jerk and bronze medal in total. He also set junior world records in jerk (245kg) and in total (437kg).
