HOA Commemorative Assembly in Budapest, Hungary

As the 26th National Olympic Academy created, the Hungarian Olympic Academy (HOA) is considered as one of the most active organizations.

 

Since its creation in 1985, the Hungarian Olympic Academy plays a substantial role in the promotion and recognition of the Olympic Ideal, and fosters the Olympic traditions of the Hungarian Sport with great success.

 

A Commemorative Assembly to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its foundation will take place Saturday November 28th at the Budapest University of Physical Education.

 

Dr. Tamás Aján, HOA President and also President of the International Weightlifting Federation invited several guests of honor including Mr. Isidoros Kouvelos, President of the International Olympic Academy and Dr. Pál Schmitt, President of the Republic of Hungary, also first HOA President.

 

The festivities will include the Opening Ceremony of the exhibition “Olympics and Education”.
