IWF visits Commonwealth Games Federation

As part of their programme in the United Kingdom, Sam Coffa (IWF Vice President) and Attila Ádámfi (IWF Competition Director) visited the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) Headquarters where they were received by Mike Hooper, Chief Executive Officer.

As a core-sport on the Commonwealth Games programme since 2006, the IWF officials discussed various operational matters pertaining to ‘Glasgow 2014′ after which the IWF thanked the CGF for its continued support and cooperative rapport.

Mr. Coffa, within his capacity as the President of the Australian Commonwealth Games Association also reaffirmed the Gold Coast’s bid to host the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

The IWF officials were accompanied by Matthew Curtain, London 2012 Weightlifting Manager and Commonwealth Weightlifting Federation Vice President and Moira Lassen, IWF Technical Committee Member.
