Fernando Reis made history for Brazil

The weightlifter Fernando Reis made history of his sport in Brazil. His was the first gold medal of the country in weightlifting in the category above 105 kg at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico.


Fernando went on a diet heavy in recent months of fattening. He gained 30 pounds in a year and a half and their eating habits include a plate with rice and beans for breakfast soon. With so much food, it reached 132 kg, 38 more than in 2007 at the Pan American Games in Rio.


In his evidence, Fernando gave no chances to the opponents. He led the race from the start and finished with a total and 410 kg, 393 kg runner up.
