President of the International Weightlifting Federation receives Dostyk order

On the mission of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov has awarded the Member of the International Olympic Committee and the President of the International Weightlifting Federation Tamas Ajan the Dostyk order of the 2nd degree. The head of state expressed his gratitude to Tamas Ajan for his personal contribution to the work of the Olympic Committee and the popularization of weightlifting worldwide. In his turn, the guest expressed his admiration of the achievements of the Kazakhstan national team during the London Olympics, where athletes gained 7 gold medals, including 4 in weightlifting.

Tamas Ajan, President of the International Weightlifting Federation said:

«At the recent Olympic Games in London, the Kazakhstan National Team showed a brilliant result gaining 7 gold medals. The rating of Kazakhstan reached a great level. I am in close relations with Kazakhstan sport and the Weightlifting Federation. Kazakhstan has a lot of talented athletes. I am happy that Kazakhstan supports the development of this sport. Thank you very much, it is a great honour for me.»
