Clean victories on the second competition day

In the Women’s 53kg, the Chinese lifter WU Lingqian took the lead with 12kg more than the Silver Medallist TANASAN Sopita (THA) ending with a Total of 195kg. ANGGRAINI Syarah (INA) was awarded three Bronze.

After third place at the Asian Junior Championships in 2011, a second place in 2013, the 18 years old WU finally got the so coveted Gold here in Kazan.

Silver Medallist at the 2013 IWF World Championships in Wroclaw, TANASAN had only one successful Snatch and couldn’t defeat the Chinese lifter.

The final fight for the Gold Medal in the Men’s 62kg bodyweight category was between MO Yongxiang (CHN) and MOSQUERA LOZANO Luis Javier (COL).

Both got 3 good attempts in the Snatch and the Colombian lifter had only 1kg advantage over MO.

Bronze Medal went to OUERTANI Marouan (TUN) with 121kg, 16kg behind the leader.

MO’s starting weight in the Clean & Jerk was 160kg which seemed to be a tough one while he missed his attempts twice controlling the weight only at his third attempt.

With six successful lifts and an impressive strength and technique, MOSQUERA LOZANO Luis Javier won it all and grab the 3 Gold Medals of the competition.

After a Bronze in the Snatch, the 2014 Junior African Champion OUERTANI Marouan (TUN) also won the Bronze in the Clean & Jerk and the Total.
