The IWF President Dr. Tamas Ajan, Vice President and Technical Committee Chairman Sam Coffa, Executive Board Member and Medical Committee Chairman Mike Irani, Coaching and Research Committee Member Kyle Pierce, Director General Attila Adamfi, Legal Counsel Dr. Magdolna Trombitas, Communication and Marketing Manager Lilla Rozgonyi held discussion about the future of Weightlifting and especially Masters with Masters Chairman Jan Hinrichsen and Lawrie Townsend Vice-Chair person.

Youth, Junior, Senior and Masters are all important part of the weightlifting family.

Topics such as Rules and Regulations were studied carefully taking into account the actual situation of the Masters weightlifting. Occasionally Masters don’t incorporate the actual rules and regulations of the IWF therefor better coordination will be established and the IWF management will deal with the challenges faced by the Masters.

Following a meeting in October, a full report will be presented to the Executive Board and the Congress in Almaty, KAZ.
