Dr. Roy Sinclair father of the “Sinclair Bodyweight Formula” passed away

On March 19, 2015, Roy Sinclair passed away at the age of 85 years. Roy will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Lori (Bruce); granddaughter, Jenna; sister, Barbara; and his special friend, June.

Roy had a grand thirst for knowledge, earning his PhD in Mathematics at MIT. He then shared that knowledge as a Mathematics Professor at the University of Alberta. Dr. Roy Sinclair made a significant contribution to the International Weightlifting Federation with his “Sinclair Bodyweight Formula”, which is used world-wide. Roy was also inducted into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame for his many contributions to the sport of weightlifting.

A Funeral Service in memory of Roy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street, Edmonton.
