Technical visit for the 2018 YOG
IWF Director General Attila Adamfi paid a visit to Buenos Aires, ARG for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games. During his technical visit he held discussions with the Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committee (BAYOGOC), led by Mrs. Anabela Moccia, Sports Director. Presentation from key Functional Areas were made, and the preparations are in an satisfying and advanced stage.
After the discussion a site visit was made in the center of the YOG, at the Youth Olympic Village (YOV) and Olympic Park. The constructions of the Olympic Village are advanced and constructions of the Olympic Park, home of weightlifting competitions just next to the YOV have recently started as well. The newly build center will serve as high performance training center in the future.
A warm welcome, full dedication and continues support was received from Gustavo Daniel Malgor, the President of the Argentina Weightlifting Federation who participated during the whole visit.
