Other information
In September 2010 he tested positive for the prohibited substances boldenone and androstatrienedione during an out-of-competition test. He was banned from the sport for four years by the International Weightlifting Federation [IWF] and stripped of his gold medal and world record from the 2010 World Championships in Antalya, Turkey. The length of the ban was later reduced to two years by the Court of Arbitration for Sport [CAS]. He became eligible to return to competitive action in September 2012.
