WADA 2009 Prohibited List Now Published
Following its approval by WADA’s Executive Committee on September 20, the 2009 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods is now available. This List will go into effect on January 1, 2009.

NO final doping results from the Junior World Championships yet!
Since the WADA accredited laboratories are completely overloaded with pre-Olympic sample analysis, the samples from the IWF Junior World Weightlifting Championships are not yet finished. We hope that before the start of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games we will be able to announce the final ranking list of the competition!

Coach suspended for LIFE
Former Weightlifter and Coach Mr. SEVDALIN MARINOV has received LIFE sanction following the second offence of the Australian Weightlifting Federation Anti Doping Policy. The IWF strongly encourages all National Federations to continue testing and investigations and do NOT tolerate any kind of doping offences.

Beijing 2008 4500 doping tests are foreseen for the XXIX Olympiad. London 2012 5000 doping tests are foreseen for the XXX Olympiad.
