2007 Royal WWC preparations in progress
A record number of nations – 94 – have so far indicated their participation in the 2007 Royal World Championships, a main Qualification Event for the Beijing Olympics, to take place 16-26 September in Chiangmai.
Ten years after another great championship hosted by the city in Northern Thailand, the Organising Committee under the leadership of Maj.Gen. Intarat Yodbangtoey and TAWA President Mrs. Boossaba Yodbangtoey is looking forward to welcoming the world’s weightlifting family, whereby commemorating the 80th Birthday of HM King Bhumiphol of Thailand.
At a recent inspecition visit, IWF Competition Director Attila Ádámfi verified that preparations for this vast event are in the final phase.
