Salimikordasiabi and Chinshanlo are the Best of 2012
Over 1,300 verified votes took part in the election of the Lifters of the Year for 2012 on this website, launched by World Weightlifting.
Among the men, Iranian Behdad SALIMIKORDASIABI was elected as the Best Lifter for the last year by a large margin. Ilya ILYIN from Kazakhstan received the second largest number of votes and Polish Adrian ZIELINSKI became the third best of 2012.
In the women’s field the top three are separated by only a few points – the closest voting ever! The top three all represent Kazakhstan. Finally, Zulfiya CHINSHANLO emerged as the winner, with teammates Maiya MANEZA and Svetlana PODOBEDOVA following closely.
