ANOC General Assembly in Lausanne
The Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) held its General Assembly in Lausanne on June 15th 2013 chaired by the ANOC President H.E. Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah.
IWF President Dr. Tamas Ajan participated in the ANOC General Assembly where 800 delegates from the 204 National Olympic Committees as well as other Presidents of the Olympic International Federations, delegates from the Olympic Games Organising Committees and Candidate Cities were represented.
The Association of National Olympic Committees has moved from Paris to Lausanne, where it has set up its new HQ opposite the Palace Hotel. The General Assembly gave the opportunity for a great number of NOCs to visit Lausanne, heart of the Olympic Movement, for the first time.
IOC President Jacques Rogge gave a reception at the IOC headquarters where H.E. Marcus Stephen President of the Nauru Olympic Committee and IWF Executive Board Member also participated together with other NOC Presidents from the Oceania region.
