European Gold for TOMA
European Champion TOMA Loredana-Elena (ROU) had an incredibly balanced competition here in Anaheim. After three good lifts in the Snatch, she took a 7kg advantage over the other competitions in the Women’s 63kg bodyweight category.
As a surprise, the Silver Medallist in the Snatch came from B Group CHARRON Maude G (CAN) lifting 102kg. She had good chances to reach the podium as she came very close to the leading lifters – however missed the podium by 1kg.
Bronze Medal went to RIVAS ORDONEZ Lina Marcela (COL) with only one successful lift at 101kg. RIVAS still managed to maintain her third place in the Clean and Jerk, and her Total of 225kg was enough for the Silver.
The other Colombian lifter PEREZ TIGRERO Mercedes Isabel made it third with two 4th places. She lifted 101kg in the Snatch, only one successful Clean and Jerk at 124kg and secured a Total of 225kg just like RIVAS and 4th place WAMALUN Rattanawan (THA).
