DAVITADZE Revaz (GEO) Junior World Champion in 2017 and 2018 European Champion waited until all the other athletes competing in the Men’s 85kg bodyweight category took their lifts in the Snatch, and it is only then that he came out to win the Gold Medal with his first lift at 160 kg. He also had a successful one at 164kg.

There was a close competition between the 2016 Junior and Youth World Champion, ALI Ahmed Sayed Ashour (EGY) and 2017 European Youth Champion ADAMUS Bartlomiej Stefan from Poland for the second place, but after all, ALI managed to lift one kilogram more and got the Silver with 159kg.

In the Clean and Jerk, after being 9th in the Snatch, MAURUS Harrison James (USA) 2017 Youth World Champion and Bronze Medallist at the 2017 IWF World Championships proved to be the best with three good lift, 190kg, 194kg and 198kg. That resulted in a Bronze Medal in the Total.

ALI’s 190kg Clean and Jerk got him the Bronze Medal and the Silver for his Total of 350kg.

DAVITADZE came second in Clean and Jerk with 192 kg, and besides the Gold Medal in the Snatch, he got to the first place in the Total as well defeating all the other athletes with an impressive 356kg.
