DENG Wei, four times World Champion
In the women’s 64kg bodyweight category, 2016 Olympic Champion DENG Wei (CHN) won with a significant, 13kg advance, becoming a four-time World Champion. The 25-year-old lifter first showed her talent in the Snatch, with 112kg and won setting a new World Record.
In the Clean and Jerk, she did 140kg, also World Record and rewrote the order of the top results three times with 247, 250 and 252kg.
Four lifters were standing on the podium with her. In the Snatch, Romanian World and European Champion TOMA Loredana-Elena, second with 110kg and Kazakh KAEINA Goricheva with 107kg.
In the Clean and Jerk WAMALUN Rattanawan (THA) came up second after DENG with 137kg, while the Bronze went to 2016 Junior World Champion RIM Un Sim (PRK).
The latter two switched places in Total, both lifting a Total of 239kg.
