Double Iranian victory in the men’s 102kg

Two Iranian stood on the top of the podium in the men’s 102kg bodyweight category. 2017 World Champion, HASHEMI Ali won the Gold in the Total with 396kg, after being second in the Snatch (179kg) and third in the Clean and Jerk (217kg).

His compatriot BEIRALVAND Reza was only fourth in the Snatch (175kg) but won the Clean and Jerk (218kg) claiming the Bronze medal in the Total with 393kg. Ukranian CHUMAK Dmytro had the same result and got the Silver Medal in Total, the Bronze (176kg) in the Snatch and Silver in the Clean and Jerk (217).

Uzbek DJURAEV Akbar, second at the Junior World Championships this year, brought some excitement to the competition. He was fourth in the Total (392kg) and the Clean and Jerk (212kg), only after earning the Gold Medal in the Snatch (180kg).

DJURAEV first broke the Junior World Record in the Snatch with 178kg, then raised the Record in Total twice, with 389kg and 392kg.
