Coaching and Technical Official Seminar in Bosnia and Herzegovina

A three-day seminar was held in Sarajevo for coaches and technical officials with delegates from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia.

Mr Nedim Masic, General Secretary of Bosnia and Herzegovina Weightlifting Federation opened the event with a presentation entitled: “New view to new rules (IWF) – for referees and coaches – updates”.

The Referees training was led by Mr Milan Mihajlovic, President of Serbian Weightlifting Federation, member of IWF Technical Committee. Participants had the possibility to take an exam as the practical part was conducted during the Competition which followed the series of seminars.

Mr Drazen Kovacevic, Anti-doping expert from Bosnia and Herzegovina NADO talked about rules, regulations and doping control process, while Mr Namik Omerovic BIH Head Coach presented healthy alternatives to enhance performance instead of doping.

Mr Maged Salama, IWF expert gave an extensive lecture on strength and flexibility in weightlifting.

After the presentations, roundtable discussions were held.

Listeners found all presentations highly useful, and many of them already included some material in their training plan.
