2019 Pan American Championship and EB meeting
On the occasion of the Pan American Championships held 21-28 April in Guatemala, the PAWC held it’s Executive Board meeting and annual Congress. Nicu Vlad, IWF Vice President and Attila Adamfi IWF Director General also attended the Executive Board meeting and Congress where Enrique Montero (BRA) was elected General Secretary and Luis Seijas (VEN) Executive Board member to take over the duties of colleagues recently passed away.
The Dominican Republic was chosen as the host country for the next Pan-American Championships in 2020 over other applicants, Brazil, Peru and USA.
A total of 188 participants (97 woman and 91 men) from 21 countries compete at the Pan American Championships this year, featuring weightlifting stars like DAJOMES Neis Patricia (ECU), CUMMINGS Clarence Jr (USA), MENDEZ Arley (CHI), ROGERS Martha Ann (USA) and many more!
