Angus Kinnear Appointed New Chair of British Weight Lifting

British Weight Lifting has announced the appointment of the Leeds United CEO, Angus Kinnear as the new Independent Chairman of the Board.

Fresh from a successful season, which saw Leeds narrowly miss out on promotion to the Premier League, Angus brings a wealth of sporting, marketing and commercial expertise and an understanding of both professional, Olympic and Paralympic sport to the organization.  He has worked within the broader sport sector including being on the Board of Commonwealth Games England for a five-year period.

Angus replaces Peter Rowley OBE who completed a five-year tenure and recent interim Chair Patrick Roberts.
