Two Silvers added up to a Gold for TSIKHANSOU

Cutting ahead of the medal favorites, South-Korean JIN Yunseong won the Snatch with 397kg in the men’s 102kg category this Wednesday at the World Championships in Thailand but clinched the overall Gold from Belorus TSIKHANSOU Yauheni, European Champion this year in 96kg category.

In the Snatch, the Belorus lifter was 1kg behind JIN and GASPARYAN Samvel (ARM) finished at the third place with 178kg.

The competition was close in the Clean and Jerk, Iranian DEHDAR Reeza managed to lift 219kg, one kilogram more than Silver Medallist in both lifts TSIKHANSOU and 2kg more than 2019 European Champion CHUMAK Dymitro (UKR).

JIN, missing his last attempt at 219kg ended up in the fourth place in the second lift, but he earned Total Silver Medal (397kg), only one kilogram behind his Belorus competitor.

DEEHDAR stepped on the third podium with a Total of 394kg.
