At World Weightlifting’s annual election of the Lifters of the Year Russian Tatiana KASHIRINA and Kazakh Ilya ILYIN were voted as the best in 2014. Both of them, heroes of the Almaty World Championships, set a number of amazing world records and captured the top titles of the year – as well as the hearts of weightlifting fans all over the world.
KASHIRINA and ILYIN thus won the “Jenő Boskovics Lifter of the Year Challenge Trophies” offered by the IWF’s official magazine World Weightlifting.
